Book My BBQ

Terms of Service

Effective and last updated: August 2, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Catermonk Foodtech, trading as Book My BBQ ("Book My BBQ", "we", "us" or "our"), for your use of bookmybbq.com and our food, catering, delivery, pickup, BBQ setup, and grill-rental services (collectively, the "Services").

Our principal place of contact is VMGC+52, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. You can contact us at hello@bookmybbq.com or +91 96203 93201. Any legally required registration, licence, tax, or invoice details applicable to your order will also appear on the relevant invoice or receipt.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing the website, creating an account, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cancellation and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a contract in India. If you place an order for another person, organisation, or venue, you confirm that you have authority to bind them and that you have permission to provide their information.

2. Accounts and account security

  • You must provide accurate, current information and keep your name, mobile number, email address, delivery address, and event details up to date.
  • Sign-in codes are delivered to the WhatsApp account associated with your mobile number. Keep codes and signed-in devices secure and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorised use.
  • You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.
  • We may require verification, restrict an account, or refuse an order where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, misuse, payment risk, or harm.

3. Services and service area

We currently serve eligible locations in Bangalore. Location checks, displayed availability, menu items, grills, staff, time slots, and guest capacities are estimates until we confirm the order. Website photographs are illustrative; presentation and colour may vary.

We may correct obvious description or pricing errors before confirmation. If a material correction affects an order you already paid for, we will ask you to accept the correction or offer a refund for the affected item or Service.

4. Orders and confirmation

  • Your checkout submission is an offer to purchase. An automated payment message alone does not guarantee that we can fulfil the booking.
  • An order is confirmed when payment is successfully verified and the order is shown as paid or we otherwise send an express booking confirmation.
  • Tell us promptly if an order confirmation contains an error. We may contact you to verify the guest count, venue, access, timing, menu, equipment, or delivery details.
  • Quantities and packages based on guest count are planning estimates. You are responsible for ordering enough food and equipment for your event and telling us about material changes.

5. Prices, promotions, and payment

Prices are shown in Indian rupees. The checkout page displays the subtotal, discounts, and total before payment. The final server-verified total controls if a stale cart displays an old price. Any delivery, handling, staffing, deposit, or optional charge will be disclosed before payment.

Payments are processed by Razorpay and its participating banks, wallet, card, or UPI providers. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN. Payment authorisation may be declined or delayed by those providers. Do not make a duplicate payment while an order is marked pending; check My Orders or contact us first.

Promotions are subject to the conditions shown with the offer, are not redeemable for cash, and may not be combined unless stated. The conditions configured for a promotion, including validity dates, minimum order, usage limits, and first-order eligibility, apply at checkout. We may reject misuse, duplicate accounts, or fraudulent redemptions.

6. Delivery, pickup, and event-site requirements

  • Delivery and service times are estimates affected by traffic, weather, venue access, and preparation. We will use reasonable efforts to meet the confirmed slot and notify you of a material delay.
  • You must provide a complete Bangalore address, reachable contact number, safe access, parking or loading instructions, and any gate or venue permissions. Waiting, redelivery, or cancellation caused by incorrect details or inaccessible premises may be chargeable if disclosed and agreed.
  • For pickup, collect within the confirmed window and transport and store food safely. Responsibility for perishable food passes to you on delivery or pickup, except for defects that existed beforehand.
  • Where on-site setup or cooking is included, you must provide a lawful, ventilated, stable, and reasonably safe working area and disclose venue restrictions concerning flames, smoke, fuel, electricity, water, waste, or noise.

7. Grill and equipment rentals

  • Rental equipment remains our property and may only be used for its intended purpose by a competent adult following supplied safety instructions.
  • You must keep equipment secure, away from children and combustible materials, and must not move it from the confirmed venue, modify it, sub-rent it, or use unauthorised fuel.
  • Inspect equipment on receipt and report visible damage or missing parts immediately. Stop using equipment that appears unsafe.
  • You are responsible for loss or damage beyond ordinary wear while equipment is in your possession. Any replacement, repair, extra cleaning, collection, or late-return charge must reflect reasonable loss and will be explained with supporting details.

8. Food safety and allergens

Menu labels such as vegetarian, non-vegetarian, or seafood describe ingredients and preparation information available to us. Kitchens, grills, utensils, storage areas, and suppliers may handle common allergens and both vegetarian and non-vegetarian products. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free or cross-contact-free environment.

Before ordering, tell us about allergies, intolerances, dietary restrictions, pregnancy-related requirements, or other medical food concerns. Contact us before payment if a severe allergy is involved; do not rely solely on product names, icons, photographs, or website filters. Follow any storage, cooking, reheating, and consumption instructions supplied with the food.

9. Substitutions and changes

Seasonal or supplier availability may require a substantially equivalent ingredient, brand, garnish, grill, or accessory. We will not knowingly make a substitution that conflicts with an allergy or dietary restriction you disclosed and we accepted. We will seek your approval for a material substitution; if you decline, we will refund the affected unavailable item.

10. Cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds

Our standard cancellation schedule, rescheduling rules, refund method, payment-failure process, and complaint procedure are set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Order-specific terms override the standard schedule only if we clearly disclose them before you pay.

Nothing in these Terms limits a refund, replacement, re-performance, compensation, or other remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including where goods or Services are unsafe, defective, materially different from their description, or not supplied as agreed.

11. Customer conduct and prohibited use

You must not:

  • use the Services unlawfully, fraudulently, or to cause harm;
  • interfere with the website, payment flow, security, accounts, or availability of the Services;
  • scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit the website except as permitted by law;
  • abuse, threaten, discriminate against, or endanger our staff, contractors, suppliers, or other customers; or
  • submit false reviews, fraudulent claims, unlawful content, or information you have no right to provide.

12. Intellectual property

The website, brand, text, graphics, menus, photographs, videos, designs, software, and other content are owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the website for personal booking purposes. No other rights are granted.

13. Third-party services

The Services rely on independent providers such as payment, messaging, maps, hosting, database, analytics, and session-replay providers. We currently use Google Analytics and PostHog to measure website use and booking-funnel performance. PostHog may also process privacy-masked session recordings and pseudonymous, account-linked booking and payment events. These tools are used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services, not to sell your personal data or provide third-party behavioural advertising. Their use and your available privacy choices are described in our Privacy Policy.

A provider's separate terms or privacy notice may apply when you interact directly with its service. We remain responsible for our obligations to you and do not exclude liability merely because we use a contractor.

14. Warranties and availability

We will provide the Services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable food-safety and consumer law. Subject to those obligations, the website may occasionally be unavailable, delayed, or contain non-material errors, and we do not promise uninterrupted access.

15. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of mandatory food-safety obligations, or your non-waivable consumer rights.

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the order was made. For a claim connected with a particular order, our aggregate contractual liability is limited to the amount paid for that order, except where the preceding paragraph applies. You remain responsible for loss caused by your unlawful conduct, unsafe venue, misuse of equipment, or breach of these Terms.

16. Events outside reasonable control

Neither party is responsible for delay or failure caused by an event it could not reasonably control, such as severe weather, flood, fire, epidemic, civil restriction, transport shutdown, utility failure, or supplier emergency. We will notify you where practicable, minimise disruption, and offer rescheduling, a substitute, or a refund for the unperformed portion where required by law and reasonable in the circumstances.

17. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the website at any time and may request account closure using the contact details below. We may suspend or terminate access for fraud, material breach, safety risk, abusive conduct, or legal compliance. Termination does not remove rights or payment obligations that arose earlier, and we will handle paid orders and personal data in accordance with law and the applicable policies.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts with jurisdiction in Bangalore, Karnataka will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right you have to approach a consumer commission or other authority where you reside or where the cause of action arose.

Please contact the Grievance Officer first so we can try to resolve the issue promptly. This informal step does not prevent you from using the National Consumer Helpline, a consumer commission, the Data Protection Board of India when the relevant provisions apply, or any other remedy available by law.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms prospectively for legal, security, operational, or service changes. The updated date will appear above. Material changes will be brought to your attention where reasonably practicable. The version accepted when you placed an order will continue to govern that order unless a change is required by law or you expressly agree otherwise.

20. General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer this agreement as part of a lawful reorganisation or sale, provided your rights are not reduced. These Terms, the policies incorporated into them, and the confirmed order contain the agreement between us for that order.
